Unfortunately, I can still “ingest” corn by absorbing through my skin and getting it in my eyes.
I can still catch a whiff of strong scents/ fragrances (e.g. donut shop, industrial cleaning solvent).
It gets hot inside from my breath and can make my face sweat. If I wear it long enough my skin will break out a little bit.
The filter becomes obsolete within 3 years after it’s made but when exposed to extremely poor air quality, a new on is recommended every 5-6 months. I replace mine each year.
It’s difficult to breathe hard and/or fast with my mask on, especially if it’s due to be replaced.
I should wear it in stores but I don’t because I’m vain and peoples’ reactions to it stress me out.
Wearing a mask garners suspicion from security guards, especially if I’m by myself, interest from a demographic likely to protest/ demonstrate (just an observation– don’t shoot the messenger) and instills fear in small children and tourists.
